If you rub it between your fingers,and it does'nt cut you...you'll be fine!

I have Torpedo Beach size all the way down to pool filter sand,and have never had any issues:}

Substrate brand??

it is a random quartz sand I got from a landscape supply store near the house

I have rubbed it between my fingers and it feels smooth

I got it from "theut Products" on Gratoit near 21 mile for 10 bucks for 80 pounds if anyone in MI is interested

It will appear lighter in color once it's in water & has lights shining on it-just so you know..

Good, I was trying to find some torpedo beach and this was as close as I could get short of having it shipped to my house. Plus I saved myself a ton of money

Looks good. Glad to hear your tank is doing well. Mines getting a test run in the garage now before it goes in the house
