Ray sand to fine?

Thanks, but now its startin to act funny, (could be normal but not sure, my 1st time with rays) The female is swimmin up the glass then droppin back down over and over again. The male just seems to cruise the bottom. it looks like the sand thats stuck to the rays is just peeling off in small pieces. Is this normal? Don't really look normal but...

The behaviour is normal, and sand will stick to them. It is worse when the sand is new as it is not coated with slime and bacteria and all the goodness of a mature tank.

I wouldn't rush out to replace it - any new sand will do the same thing.
