My otonrongo ray has still not ate anything since i got her. its been about 8 days since she ate anything. she was really skinny to when i got her. I have tried all that I can think of. Do you think its time I just put her down for the count? You can see all of her bones its really sad.

I assume you have tried live black worm/ earthworm (black worm for 3 to 6 " ray, and earthworm for larger ray). All the ray i have can never resist them.

Have you tried an isolation tank with high heat and metrodonazole? first off, the ray should have been in isolation/quarantine, if it is not, get it in a qt tank so that you can manipulate its environment easily. 40 gallon or so will be fine, bare bottom, good established biological filter, aeration, heat, some salt, no lights.

It can come back, just because it is skinny does not mean it is time to give up.

Run a course of Metro in an iso tank. Dose daily 1/4 tsp per 20 gallons, with daily 40 to 50% water change before each dose. offer food once a day and remove within 5 minutes if not eaten, easiest to feed right before water change. keep heat at 85/86F. feed live blackworms or candian night crawlers for best results. dose for 7 days.

yes have tried both of those. I'm giving the metrodonazole a few more days. so hopefully she comes out of it. I just do not want her to suffer. she is in a rubber maid tub right now with about 20 gallons of water and the temp is 84

try some ghost shrimp, and add some salt, imo a 20 gallon isnt big enough for her even just for isolation, i would put her back in the tank but put a divider to keep any other tank mates from getting close to her
