Sandman. I like the estes, but it is light and tends to float and lift more, into intakes
where poolfilter is a heavier sand. I really like the 3M sgrade and that is what I will use
in my next setup.

all rays are nice no matter what substrate you use

i just love this gravel its real small light in colour but most important very smooth and ray safe

T1 i did do a smooth 3/8ths inch gravel and liked it but in the end went back to my bare bottom set ups... i have been looking into and will be trying it out with in a month some other smooth gravels for a future set up.. the tank will have a black bottom but being a show tank might look better with gravel...

has anybody every tried to create a sandydirt bottom(silt)???
 
when i do my next tank I'm going to spread silicon all over the tank base the stick a fine layer of gravel to it 1st

i hate the bare bits of tank you get when the rays move the gravel :D
