Here's the sad deal...the tanks we have at work are old, and since the new aquarium is being built, there is no real push to get new tanks for this old building.
So in the very start, the first aquarist decided that UGF were the wave of the future, and had them GLUED to the bottom of every tank. Including the freshwater stingray tank. And in this case, gravel poured over the filter, and things worked great. Till I come along.
I see our very young motoro female with bumps all over her underside from hiding over gravel stones, and want to get her in sand. But with the UGF in place, and glued down firmly for several years, that would leave a good lot of dead spots in the tank.
Any idea how I can get sand in this tank for the poor ray?
