ray substrates?

Thanks pete I'll look into it. Will the ray bury itself in the peace river or is that more of a sand only thing?

I would never use anything else. The rays love it and I have never had a problem with it. Keepers should be very careful where they get their ray substrate - it can physically hurt the ray and/or affect the water chemistry easily. The caribsea substrate is specifically made for softbelly aquarium fish - you can read the details on the product page link above.
 
About the rocks thing. Most gravel that people use are jagged and sharp. As long as it is smooth and u r able to grip pretty hard then it should be good for the ray. Like river rocks.
 
I went with pfs it was cheap looks good enough and readily available, a lot of lfs around here don't carry many caribsea products and I needed enough for a 210, I put 50# in and I think I'll probably put in another 50, haven't seen the ray bury itself yet
