I'd see what happens by removing half the rays. Sounds like too many rays in too small of an area if you ask me.... 6 rays is alot for 1 tank, ESPECIALLY at the size you mentioned. Are they all that big? In my experience a lack of appetite + constant swimming = a stressed ray looking for a way out.

I have an 8 X 2.5 x 2 with 6 rays in it. 2 @ 11 in, 1 @ 9in, and 3 @7in and I aim for 50% WCs every other day.

I totally agree with DB, unless the tank dimensions are meters or yards

:);)

divided off from the rest last night and check up on him today and realise the bottom and edge of his disk seem to be rotting away like being bitten by something.

going to borrow a fgt from a friend later to house him alone and hopfully he can make it.:(

EXACTLY what happened to my female. Her pelvic fins started to litterally rot away. There was pieces just hanging off the fins by threads and would fall off when she swam. This was also accompanied by loss of appetite. After she began refusing food a closer look revealed the rotting. I treated her with Binox the following day and the "rotting" seemed to stop and she pulled through. The Binox was carried out for almost 2 weeks.

This was the second time I was able to save a ray from this "rotting" with Binox.

Best of luck to you!!!

thanks bro.

can see the condition of it has become worst. more rotting on the disk. only in a few hours.:(

just got my Binox today. hopefully all goes well. going to up the temp to 30.

before binox flush the tank...... go do like 8 50% waterchanges in a row...

A bunch of big WCs definetly a good idea. I did 3 50%s before adding meds.....

How bout an update?
