Hey everyone. I currently have a small cortez ray. She isn't a particularly messy eater, but I have a few small fish to basically keep the water column active that tend to leave debris. I know that if I get any of the typical reef clean up crew inverts (hermits, shrimp, etc) they're basically going to be and expensive snack for the ray. Any ideas of an alternative? I was thinking maybe brittle stars or even a bottom dwelling fish? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks guys. Would a star harm a ray? I've heard of them picking at fish, but I'm not sure if it's true. If the ray ended up eating it, that wouldn't be a huge deal. I'm more worried about it harming the ray.

Did you end up getting a starfish for your tank? I am currently setting up a 240 gallon tank and will have a grey bamboo shark and am looking to find out what to do for a clean up crew as well. I'm so used to having a reef tank so this is a big change for me. I also plan on getting a cortez at some point down the road.
