I have a few species of bichir, some clown loaches, lima shovelnose, african shovelnose, bristlenose plecos, leopard perch, and arrowana knifefish in with my rays. Bichir, cats, and loaches eat any spare food as well as afterbirth and rich curlers.
Flagtails are a big risk one you don't need to take
Get a shoal of tinfoils the even eat ray poo

I love flagtails, I have some in my grow out tank. I have had them in the past and they were awesome. Good call. Why only one?

They suck on the rays disk and do real damage

its so hard to believe when its of the most passive fish. I'm not doubting you T1 as I've heard this many times, it just surprises me.
I have pictures on my pc I will drag out for you
It's not nice
When mine started sucking I saw it at first and every time he sucked I would chase it around with a chop stick to make it stop this went on for one week and even when he swam over the rays it's like it knew the chop stick was coming
This made it stop for 6 months then bang over night real damage
Tinfoils do a great job and the ones with red and black tails look a bit like flagtails and do great in groups
I had a group of 6 flagtails and they shoaled around nice for 2 days then one morning one was dead then another then another th your left with the strongest one
