Nice claspers on that male, is he mature yet?

not sure actually how old he is.

i havent treated with prazi yet. ive been watching their feces and i see no signs on internal parasites. but i could be wrong. i would love to get them off the blackworms. im going to try again with troutworms or raw market shrimp or both. i think as long as u wash the blackworms daily there is less chance of them giving rays parasites. still a risk though.

the rays are nice and fat now. i could starve for a few days and try some shrimp. do you think the blackworms were causing all your deaths?

I don't think it was the blackworms, I think it was just internal parasites, or possibly an internal bacterial infection. The one that died in less than 10 days developed a fungal infection not long after I brought it home, and I don't think the medication I added helped in time to save it.

Plus they're delicate babies, and the shipping and lfs conditions they deal with aren't the best.

I cleaned my blackworms daily, and I tried to pick out as many of the leeches that came with them as I could.

sounds like you did eveything u could. i do agree shipping stress is probably the biggest culprit.

Nice fish! but I'm sorry, your decorations make me sad :( get a pic for the back, and plant the tank instead of the ugly sand+fake plants, it'd really enhance the look of the aarowana

Very nice!

im all done with real plants. the sand serves a purpose and i like it better then a gravel bottom. the only thing i was thinking of doing is a 3d backround. the stingrays and geos love the sand. the main purpose of this tank is to keep it simple. no water changes,no gravel vacuuming. all i have to do is feed and clean the glass for the most part. besides cleaning the filters every few months. K.I.S.S...method.
