Does anyone know anything about shark/ray vitamins? Where do I get them and which ones are good for my round ray? I am currently feeding him mysis shrimp that has been soaked in selcon and garlic.

Is anyone actually feeding these? I have no problem with the cost if it will be beneficial for my rays. 600 tablets for $91 comes to $.15 per tab. I have always been skeptical that feeding market shrimp and smelt with the occasional earthworm is providing a balanced diet.

BTW I have tried multiple times to get my rays onto pellets. After about a week of fasting they just start pinning my black aro and generally harassing the other tankmates. I have lost many large 4"+ silver dollars to this end.

It sounds like the II would be more appropriate than the I. correct?

Hey!! that website also has vitamins for your pet Aardvark or Rhinoceros!!! No more will their diets be lacking.

Whew, I was wondering what I should feed my rhinoceros. Now I know! :nilly:

I use Mazuri S/R tabs, and so do most of the aquariums/zoos I know of that keep rays and other elasmo species.

So do you just put the tans in the food source (e.g. inside of a shrimp)? Just trying to figure out how you get the ray to consume the pill...

And this is the same vitamin used for freshwater rays?

Yeah, you can slip it into food chunks. For smaller rays, I break them in half.
Works great with fresh and saltwater rays. I've used them with motoro, leopoldi, henlei, falkneri, castexi, menchacai, orbignyi etc.... I think good nutrition was a strong part of why my past ray breeding programs were so successful.
