holy cow! Lucky man and well done for what you done there bro couldn't have been an easy job, I try to look out for dropped stingers but I know there is definitely one in my tank that I have not been able to find,
 
Ooof that would be a heart attack and a half, you did a good job though! I would put a handle on that barb and make it a fishing spear!!

Did you keep the ray in water?
Did you keep it in the tank? Or a bucket?
Did you flip ray on it's back?
I'd probably freak out. But it has to b done.
You weren't worried about getting stung?

After reading your thread, I'm now thinking of cutting off the stingers on my three blackies.
I read a thread on here about doing this and there were different opinions. Maybe it'll b worth trying
