Rays and Nitrates

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lol yeah it's the truth. I know some people are really into every aspect of their water parameters which is great but that's just not me. Keeping rays is one of my hobbies and its something I find enjoyable and want to keep it that way. I've had roughly 8 litters from 2 different pairs of rays. Everyone is happy and healthy. Imo no need to overthink things. I've been doing this a long long time lol

I like this ^

But how often so you change water and what is your tank size.

I agree with you alot of people over think things. I really only monitor my pH daily. I do not test for anything else unless there is a problem. Which is very very rare.

So how often do you replace water?

I'm dripping about 60 gpd or so on a 300 gallon system and 90gpd on a 500 gallon system. I don't pull water out physically unless I want to gravel vac, which I do on occasion maybe once a month. At that time I just watch the level in my sump and only take out about 20 gallons or so then let the drip fill it back up.
