I know I have asked about snail in the past . I recently found that I have yet another sail problem , It is in my ray tank there just little snail but they reproduce so fast . They must have been transfered though my pyton water change hose into my ray tank . My qestion is will it hurt my rays if I cant gt rid of them .

thanks brett.

My ray loves snails....

Rays love snails. A ray's mouth is really like 2 plates which can crush whatever is between them, i.e. shells. They're adapted to eat crustations and the sort. They're a natural predator of snails, although they may not be so interested in small ones, or if they're already used to worms or something of that nature. They like the fatty tasty worms better than snails i would imagine.

i have a little snail problem also and that would be awome if my ray would take care of some of them. if the ray does eat the snails will they be gone for good or will the eggs be recycled back into the tank?

A high soarce of protien but it takes some energy to get... if your ray is fed well and stuff that is easier he may never grow a taste for them.
