My experience would tell me no. In tanks with more than one ray I would get one ray "playing" in the bubbles, with the other ray being lazy and chill. If the rays were both needing more oxygen then I would guess that both would either "play" in the bubbles or float to the top.
Opinions?

However, Almeida studied pregnancy and birthing in the wild of many rays, including antenna rays.. She studied gestation periods, etc.. but she also noted she observed maternal care by parents of stingrays in the wild. They would stay near the fragile and exposed juvenile, rather than leaving it, and have it follow them to food sources.

o and for something of importance my rays used to play in the bubbles all the time but with 2 airstones and one spongefilter along with overflows and wet dry and 2 out of 4 return ripping accross the surface i dont think my D/02 levels had a chance to be low...

i had this with a ray before, i had a pair of motoros and one would stay at the bottom or swim the sides and the other would swim all over including mid level and at the top, it did not do it constantly and seemed to stop after a while.
i had made no changes to the tank when it stopped.
