I visited TFD's facility when in Ohio about 3 weeks ago. The common motoros were active and well fed. The only criticism I had was that there were about 10 or 15 pups in a 60g tank (in an open system but still....). The Marbled motoros were in another tank and they were much larger--I think they have had them for a while. They were beautiful but in my opinion just as nice as the common motoros. However, I am not a ray fanatic and know that keeping different strains is what us hobbyists do--that's why I have about 15 different species of plecos in my 175!
Before I bought from TFD, I'd check out what Tangled up in Cichlids has as well as AE Aquatics, and Fish In A Bowl. All vendors on this site.
Especially if you're going for a marbled motoro, $250 seems like a lot from someone that has shady feedback.

i have bought motoros and retics from them. motoros came in great no complaints there but the retics one came in doa and the other two had fish lice but like recently stated thats easily taken care of. their mm's are sometimes not marble motoros at all they are something totally different so be careful ordering those. but as for a normal motoro i would check with some guys on here first. check out the buy and sell threads and vendor list. also aquatics worlds has some vendors to check out.
I have some rays that will be for sale shortly. But not any to cheap. I only have one real nice marbled pup. The rest are P14 hybrid, or other black rays. I am located in Natick Ma. Email me if interested jraithel7@aol.com.
i have some large motoros for cheap if you can meet in NYC. 3 females and 2 males from 9 to 14". they are from ashleysomething. can't get any hardier then these rays. eat anything that sinks inc veggie wafers.
TFD sold me my Motoro Pup. came in good. but I have heard odd things about them now... I will be buying my 2 other motoros from some vendors/sellers on here from now on, just bc they bred theirs so you know your getting good pups.
