Rays mouth and gills red.

My ray has been trying to bite the acrylic and her gills and mouth are red. What can I do to make her stop biting. She's very well fed 2 times a day.

She has you trained.... I'm guessing you feed her right after ... I had a female that did the same thing. I added salt and she built up enough calais that it wasn't a problem. Except for the scratches she left.

Does it eat pellets? If not that basicaly how my 3 rays started eating pellets..pair of motoros and a leo..the motoros are the only ones i have that will eat right at the top never had them doing it so much that caused burns.....i feed them 3-4 small feedings everyday..keeps them active

I think turkey boy might be right on this one. I tested it out. About an hour after I last was in my fish room I went and spied on the ray without her seeing me. And she was acting normal! Just swimming along the bottom and then I walked in and there she goes start biting the acrylic again.

That is remarkable. Every morning my dogs would knock the doggy gate over if i didnt let them out early...so i yell and let them out since i had to get up anyway to fix the gate...and i thought why do the keep doing this instead of waiting on me. thats when i realized its to get me up lol hopefully your ray will behave:)

Thats hilariouse i must admit beside the behavior being potentially problematic.. I had a horse that would do similar in his stall to get attention ect... imo i would use the suggestion of giving her a "toy" when she does this instead of food and recondition her behavior to something less detrimental to " beg food". shes obviousely intelligent enough to learn!
