eh leave the wife, fish dont talk back

I am not able to make an official statement on that topic at this time. I can only say that I really really love my wife.

(I'll PM you with the real story later) LOL!!! J/K

And here is what I meant about the "receiving area"....this stuff has no-place to go until I constrct the shelves...this is the front room of our house.

I also have to tell about the PayPal Dispute I just filed against ****************... Short story for now- I payed for ST Datnoids...I was skeptical, but I did it anyhow...the pic was definately ST Dats...they called them Siamese Tiger fish. So I bought 3 of them as a test (I would have bought more)...well I ended up getting some sick and emaciated NTT dats...one of which didn't make it through the weekend...Well...they weren't nice to me about it to say the least...treated me like an idiot and refused to even reference the ID charts I tried to send them... SO...for the first time EVER...I filed a Paypal Dispute....Because there is about $140 difference in price between these 3 NTT's and what they charged me for what were supposed to be ST's.

More on that later though..I got lumberyardin to do!

2 Days...It'll all be in place in 2 days...not running...but "there". Just got back from the Lumberyard...but gotta take my kid to the "think he broke his foot" doctor.

haha i know how that is, im 20, had ACL surgery at 16, and im pretty sure i tore my ACL again, either that or the surgery didnt work lol... been suffering with it for 4 yrs, finally decided its time to go to the doctor and get a follow up MRI appt scheduled for the 18th

Having a hard time getting motivated today for some reason...grrr...

But I wanted to take a second to post a pic of my little project I've been working on.... I am actually getting more into hobby-fish since I've started all this, and I like that...I worried it would go the other way and I would start to hate it like working on cars at the shop.

anyhow, I've had this tank for about 15 years...most of that timie I did very well with it, but in the last few years it has been very neglected after it got busted and I had to scoop everything off the floor...with all the disease that came with that...and the mess...it just kept going down hill until it finally got unplugged a few months ago after the impeller quit due to the inlet clogging.

But after a few weeks of work now, I still have some of my plants left. I fixed the filter and started vacuuming..then I got some chep algae eaters...they lived, so I started keeping feeder guppies in there for the PBass and Datnoids I just got....but the guppies are eating away all the dead plant matter...so they are working right now...lol.

Anyhow...in a few weeks I hope to have it in ghood enough condition to move the Dats and PBass in there to grow for a while. I also have 3 L-066 King Tiger Plecos that will stay in there permanently.

And also, I got my youngest son interested in guppies! So that's a great start for him, and something I already have the stuff to set him up with. I wouldn't have had to buy guppies...but they cost a lot less than my Tilapia fry, and I do not have extra fry...

Ok, I didn't get all the tanks set in 2 days...lol. I could have done it, just havn't been putting in full days on that...

I did get a lot done though. I needed to start on the hatchery end of things even though all these 75's are in the way. The fish keep breeding, so I have to insert new equipment in a minimally disruptive order.

I also have the shelving started where the 75's will go. Just did enough to give me the layout, then went on to the hatching tanks. I wanted to have the layout in place while I did other things so that I would have some time to forsee any issues...So far, nothing major. It's going to be a little tough to service the growout stock tank that is there, but I saw no better way to use the space since the filtration will be in a 2nd Identical stock tank. I did make sure that the 2nd tank will fit in and out of where it has to go, and it will...with a little squeezing.

Sorry for the lack of pics. I wanted to make a quick update before I run to get some supplies. We got a new lens now for the camera, but not only have I not figured it out, it doesn't do what I hoped with this particular camera... I thought I was saving a couple hundred bucks on the camera when I bought it...but I'm regretting it a bit. This Camera body won't autofocus with this lens...Thats where my research failed me... I didn't know that the better camera body had the focusing motor inside of it... But my camera doesn't...which means I need a $500 lens to do what this $125 lens would be able to do had I bought the other camera... bummer. I'll upgrade it soon though...It's actually the wife's camera, and she doesn't see the need to spend the money right now. (whew, cuz I'm spending it all)

Ok. Here's a pic of the new hatching "station". Still a lot to do on it, but the jar on the far left is ready to go and I have eggs to put in there later today. The other 2 jars there are running, but need a few minor tweaks to make them work properly. After that, I have 2 more jars, but I can't put them in until I re-enforce the center-divider on the tank, and make a re-inforcing ridge on my cover/jar holders. The front edge of the cover is bowing down quite a bit, but I can take care of that real easy with the leftpover acrylic I have from cutting the sheet. I got 1/4" acrylic at least...but it just isn't rigid yet.

Also ended up having to buy a new drill. My old junker finally gave up while starting the 5th hole in the Acrylic with my nice new 5" hole saw....I was kinda bummed, trying to quit spending money here at some point....but then when I got to the store, I felt better. I always wanted a cordless 2-speed half inch chuck 18v Awesome new drill....always hated that frayed cord having, weak uncontrollable speed 3/8 little crap thing that I have always had to use because it still worked....

New tools are cool.
