yay congratz, mind swinging me a few?

I scooped out what I'd guess is a couple hundred. I printed out mapquest (waterway edition) directions for them, and stuck them to the outside of the tank. They are asking me what time you're serving fry powder... ;)

Ps... This was the smaller of the 3 females carrying eggs. I would expect that the other 2 are going to yield even more...

congrats on the fry, wish the pictures thing was working.

Although I don't have massive production yet, it's time for me to start figuring out what to do with these guys.

The Blue Tilapia are what will be the "feeder grade" Tilapia. I'm going to sell them, for starters, at about half the going rate.

Fry will be the cheapest, and also cheaper to ship. But larger sizes will be available before too long for those who don't have the time or space to grow them out.

Anyone who is interested in these fry, or fingerlings when I get them bigger, please PM me and we can try and figure out a reasonable price, minimum order, and shipping options.

What I need most, is a decent base of repeat business customers. I'm trying to provide them at the best price I possibly can, so that no-one needs to worry about breeding their own. Theres always gonna be special deals for the people who've been following this thread...meaning that I'll surely count inaccurately... in your favor. ;)

Large orders of fry would be the most economical for shipping purposes, and they will grow to feeder size very quickly. I also can provide links for cheap food to raise them. I looked at Purina Aquamax...but they only sell fry powder in 50lb bags...In the future, I will be able to sell it by the pound, and it would be the cheapest option BY FAR...but I can't buy a 50lb bag right now with no outlet for it...it would spoil, and I want it to be very fresh, especially if I'm selling it.

So bring on the interest...we can work something out.

I've been taking pics all along... There's gonna be a massive server load once they get the site back to normal.

I need to go and pick up some wood trim to make the slots for the dividers in the new pool. Other than that, it's ready to start coating...

Side jobs are still coming in...so the plumbing won't be an issue...and it's looking good for adding some more tanks real soon as well.

;)

loving it man, once i get my finances in order a little bit more, i might consider ordering some feeders from you, as long as the prices arent to steep and shipping isnt ridiculous, cant wait to see the pictures

I'm here to try and find a way to overcome all of that. That's why I need people like you to help me explore this market. Basically, I need to know things like-

What are you currently feeding.

How much are you currently going through, and what is the cost.

What is your current feeder plan lacking, and how can I improve it.

Will you want fry to grow on your own (saves in shipping, and cheaper for the fry), or do you need larger sizes?

And- If you own a pet store...what would it take to eliminate your goldfish feeders alltogether...and replace them with my Tilapia?

Also, I need to work on some shipping methods that will save money. I need to work on packaging that will lastr 3-4 days or more, and I have a few ideas. I just need to experiment. These are super-dooper top secret ideas...(but they might only work in the summer).

So heres the deal... At this moment I wish I had something to feed your tilapia too... and I wish I had a much larger tank for a stingray... I'm only 16 and I am planning all these projects that I would like to do when I get older... I am looking forward to all of the pictures

DIY my friend...DIY... ;)

But I know what you mean. I have yet to afford a tank that is nice enough to put on my main floor... I cannot afford a Stingray either. That seems odd to say, but the ones I have are strictly business. No matter how much I love them...But as time goes on, I will be able to get a nice setup and keep some of the "extras" in there with other species.

I want to create an Amazon display with some other species, and I want to encorporate my parrots with it as well. Something really cool...Like a giant refugium/jungle enclosure.

I'm looking forward to pictures too!!! It's driving me nuts. I just took more pics of the new pool as I am starting to lay on the rubbercoat.
