Amazing looking pup. How close are your other rays to being preggers?

The first one to give birth is at (I am guessing) 50-60 days along. the 2nd to give birth is a big girl, and she doesn't get bullied much during the mating, so I'm not sure...but appetite-wise, she isn't acting pregnant. And the mom of this new pup has got to be pregnant by now, but the males won't leave her alone. My Leo male is even joining in on the fun, and he is maybe just now starting to mature.

I hate to think I won't know the father of one of these pup batches, but I made the decision to leave all 3 males in there because the Motoro is training them very well!!! None of the males are fighting, they just all want to breed...

Amazing thread! I just read this entire thread and all I can say is wow. I am interested in setting up an aquaculture system to raise, Tilapia and Red claws, and have been looking all over for local live Tilapia. I just bought a 120 gal tank of CL and am in the process of resealing it and setting it up. I live about 40 min from Lansing and would love to pick up / see your system if possible. I'll send you a pm once I get 5 posts. Keep up the good work you are an inspiration to many!

I may have missed it or while following along here but are you doing somthing special to have the rays breed so easily?

Is it just a nice wide open setup with food and they like to mulitply? or is it just the illusion of being a bystander that it seems they are breeding so well?

Havn't sold any pups. This girl might go for sale in a while, but I really want to know how much like her mom she'll end up looking...

I think the breeding is happening the way it is because I lucked into a very good established breeding group with the first trio I bought. The male Motoro is just a really good breeder, and from what I understand, that is pretty common with the Motoro's. But right now, the other 2 males are picking up on his "activeness" very quickly...we'll just have to see if they continue when they are eventually separated from the Motoro.

Well...I decided to pull the plug on the race. I've got too much invested in this new motor to try and rush it along.

I could borrow a motor, but I can't afford to fix it if I breakit...

I had an offer to drive a different car...but honestly, I wanted to do this with my car because I know it runs up front at this track...I don't want to deal with an unknown car that I'm not confident I can win with...

Winning is addicting...I've won races, but never at this particular track. I was Rookie of the Year at this track in 1999, but never really raced there much since...so I want to win there...not just "run".

I'm ok with this. I have a new sponsor that will be with me going into 2011. I'd rather do 2011 RIGHT than to do one race half-a**...

Thank you! It helps to hear!

Things are going great, but I hate not being able to expand as quickly as I'd like....It's been kinda dull lately while things just happen along. But there's more coming in the near future...so bear with me!
