Rays on a budget- My (somewhat long) story w/pics

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
cant wait for the pics mike, interested on seeing the plumbing... should get some pics up of your koi pond if you still have it.

Man this story is incredible. It takes a lot of courage to quit your job and take a chance working with something you love. I love your rays and hope to one day buy one from you when I have a nice wide tank set up. You'll be first on my list for potential sellers!

I believe that I will either cut the pills in half, or use an actual fish sedative in it's place... since I have Oxygen here,, and bag buddies don't do anything about ammonia...the only reason I chose the bag buddies is for the "calming agent" (clove oil).

Have you considered putting a couple squirts of Amquel to help out with the Ammonia. I have not shipped fish in a long time, but I used to do it.
I met the guy that invented Amquel. It's totally non-toxic, so you don't have to worry about overdosing. It will help neutralize Ammonia.

paul dont forget that amquel lowers the oxygen level so it can be fatal.

and a huge congrats on your pup shipments. can we see updated pics of all the rays for sale at this time?

Ok, I did not realize that side effect. Thanks for telling me.
I guess I just got lucky when I did it.

Just trying to get caught up here... and get these pictures here. I have a lot on my mind lately about some exciting things that I can't detail too much on, but I've been stuck on some "go fast" ideas for the last few days that I really want to make happen.

Heres what I've got on the new ray pool now that it's up and running. there is a lot left to do. I have to figure out what to do with the water return and I also have a plan for the overflows that I need to get done....but the pics are most important. I can fill in the other details later.

Havn't gotten a chance to get new pup pics around yet...but here's what I have on the camera.

Wow, your set up looks great and you've persevered through all the challenges that have come at you. Excellent job. I'll be watching and maybe one day I can stop by and see this in person (since I am only a couple hours from Lansing). Hope everything continues on this path for you.

love the pictures of the plumbing and filtration
