This thread can be a little missleading as the tank size and decoration is a MAJOR factor when it comes to this. I bet everyone in this thread is talking from their own experience. Alot of good tips above here tho.. I would have to say

My tank is 1200 gallons and has some big pieces of driftwood so the fish can hide.
 
i have silver arowana 18",jardini arowana 8"and sb flowerhorn4",cailifornia gar16",rainbow snakehead 8"and 3 oscar still baby in different tank..can i add a motoro stingray in there? my tank is 300 galon.
