RB Head turned black?

Thank you all for the valuable information.

Thus far, I've cut out the freeze dried krill from the diet and have them back on scallops now. I had them on shrimp months ago but, they all got tired of eat and quit eating it. I'll reintroduce some now to give them some variety. Thanks also for the heads up regarding feeding them chicken, steak and beef liver, I'll steer clear.

An FYI on my RB that started this discussion, he's doing well, eating, swimming and holding his own amongst the others. The difference in pigmentation still exits between his head and body but he's fine either way. I'll post if something changes but if anything, I've got a very unique RB out of the ordeal.

Thanks
B

Just to give you the real reason chicken and beef should be avoided. birds and mammals have a much higher body temperature than fish, which means that the fat in the meat needs a much higher temperature to melt and be digested, and unless you heat your fish to almost 100 degrees faranheight, that won't happen. it'll build up in their arteries like a 50yr old man living on Mcdonald's.

The head looks fine, the body looks off. what colors are your others?
