So whats the typical Red Belly adult size. I dont care about how big the world record is. Generally how big will the average RB get? Also minimum size tank for them. My LFS has a couple of them for 30 bucks at 2 in each. It that a good buy?

thats alot. I got my dad two rb at 5inches each for 20dollars each. He has them in a 55g now. Not sure the min size tank but i would say 30g or more.

his are still only 6inches big almost a year later. I don't think they get over 7inches in a 55g tank but im not sure.

$30 is an ok price depending on their availability in your location. The general rule is 20g per RBP, you can house juvi's in something like the above mentioned 55g, but keep in mind they grow at a pretty good pace. Healthy RBP will get around 12" the average IME is around 9"-10" hope that helps.

30 each about 2-3 inches

Well how often do you get them up there? around here they're pretty common & ones at that size go for $10-$15.
