Well the tank is def big enough. that seems like alot of money but every area is different. If you think its worth it go for it. Im not a fan of them but my dad loves his. I think they are kinda boring. I think you can have atleast 4 in a 55g tank. Im trying to get my dad to get two more because they like being in groups

Is there somehow I could get them on pellets? I dont want to have to go buy feeders all the time

Yes, it's all about persistance. Mine eventually ate massivore pellets as well as NLS, that made up the majority of their diet. The Other option is frozen white bait, non-oil based food fish. i.e lance fish, sole, bass, pickerel, wall eye; just to name a few.

They arnt that common. They are fairly rare here so. The only other ones I say were adults for 60 each

Then it's not too bad, you can probably do 5-6 in that 65g, but keep in mind that number of piranhas will eventually need something like an 100g.

Ok thanks. How did you do it? Im guessing you probably starved them till they gave it a try..

worms, krill, and sometimes feeders like once a month but they aren't the best. Wow im suprized they can reach 12 inches because all the ones i see are 7 inches max.

Ok what about like 3? Is that a big enough group? Im only 14 and 5-6 would be pretty expensive for me.

12 inchers are probably more common in the wild. Im guessing if you had at least a 100 gallon then they could get 12 in.

That's one method, but I didn't practice it too much because in my experience is if you kept it up for too long they would either attack each other or stop eating altogether. The better option is to just keep trying to feed them the pellets, they eventually learn to eat them & they'll take the white-bait without a problem. It's a lot easier when there is a considerable number of them because they're more likely to eat whatever you give them because of the competition for food.
