Hello Everyone , are my RBP always going to be so jumpy or will they calm down with time.I spend alot of time in front of them and still every time i move across the tank they freak and bump there heads on the ends of the tank????:headbang2:cry:

rbps are skittish so it'll take sometime before they get use to you. could be months could be years.
how many rbps do you have and how big of a tank do you have them in?

I have gang of 11 and they are 2.5" long and the tank is 30 gal .. is it to small.I'm working on getting a 85 or larger..

Cool' they sure grow fast.. is it me or do they share the food? Cuz it looks like they take turn,s hitting the food on top...

if you plan on keeping them all then I would suggest you looking into getting 180g or at least 125-150g

Thanks my brothers, i'm on craigslist as we speak lookin for a deal. How long do you think i have before until it,s to cramped or will they start to eat each other to make room????????

my blood red parrot was like that it'll just take a while for some fish to get used to you

they grow 1" a month, with 11 in a 30g I would say couple months, the sooner the better. you still have to cycle the tank.
the other concern is that you need to have enough filtration to keep up with 11 rbps in 30g
