I've seen 15 adult reds in a 4' tanks...but is that the ethic of keeping piranhas :screwy:

Let me explain since your a little slow, this way you can reply and get your post count up. You said you have heard someone having 15 piranhas in a 200g and I stated I have seen 15 piranhas in a 4' tank. what im trying to say is you can keep as many piranhas as you want in a tank but is it the ethnic of keeping piranhas?

yes it is worth it :D and no you can keep as many as you want per tank

1 p = 30 g.
2 p's = 50 g.
3 p's = 70 g.
. . . . . . . . .
5 p's = 110 g.
. . . . . . . . .

get the pattern?

1 p = 30 then 20 g. every p after that. And always keep them on even #'s ( a shoal is usally 6 < even # > )

GET IT?

trust me I know the size tank for each P...but can you give me some proof behind what you have stated "and always keep them in even #'s(a shoal is usually even #"...proof behind this theory would be great.

Please keep this on topic. We don't have time to babysit and I would hate to remove this thread. If you disagree, thats fine, just do so in a polite manner so we can all learn from each others experience.

Thanks.

I hate to be that guy, but you are arguing I wanted to point out that it is ethic not ethnic... I doubt cultural norms have anything to do with the disagreement... hows that for on topic... this post is so getting deleted...

oh by the way 7 is about right, but forget it and go for black instead... or whimple something different ya know... of course it is your tank...

okay well i had 3 (2inch) in a 40 and one got demolished by the other two. go to your local pet store and count how many ps are in the dispay tank! an even amount!!!
