rbp mix with other fish

i guess when i had mine it was pretty active too but the rewards of eating the few scraps wasn't worth the amount of crap it was putting out.
 
this is what i think of when people mention mixing reds. for some reason i skim right over plecos

*disclaimer* i'm all for people trying their own experiment but you should know the original owner of this video only had these fish together for 3 months before she sold the RBP. it was a 50 gallon. we will never know what would've happen in the long term with this set up

I kept a common pleco with 5 rbp's for over 2 years. I love plecos and that's why I put one in with them. It would chase the piranhas away for food and everything. It would get fins nipped occasionally but nothing bad. I eventually got rid of the piranhas because I thought they were boring. Just make sure you feed them well. If you go away for a weekend and they get a little hungry, it could easily disappear.
