i just would like to know if i could house 1 or 2 rbp's in a 30 gallon aquarium and what is the min. tank size for them cuz ive looked on google and its ranged from 20 gallon to 75 and i really dot know but i would like to get a piranaha someday but want it to be housed properly.

30 gal is too small really.1 piranha can live there but would be far from ideal, mostly because of the lack of width of a standard 30gal.
a small serra would be good for you.maybe a sanchezi

too small for life. Need a 55 for two rbp's, minimum.

i got 2 RBPs in a 29 gal there doing good but i did get them a new 55 gal just got to set it up. theve been in the tank since they were like 2 inchs and now there 5-5.5 inchs

a 30 would be pretty much the smallest I would keep a solo rb in but it still may not be ideal as it reaches full grown.

If you do go with a solo fish for your 30 I would suggest a sanchezi instead. They grow a lot slow and will be able to be comfortable in the 30 for a longer period of time possibly even for life.

As far as two goes I would suggest against buy two. Chances are one will end up bullying and stressing the other if not seriously injuring it.

If you want a small shoal go with a 75g and get 4 rb's. Rule of thumb is 20g per full grown fish, so a 75 would work for a long time for 4-6 fish before they outgrow it.
