If you start with juvi's a 30g would be fine for 3 RBP's but you would want to move them to a 55g or larger after they hit 2.5"-3". I have done this several times and never had problems. Also I have always heard that 1 or 3 is better than 2. I guess there is a greater possibility of fighting with only 2, however I can not confirm this as I have always kept RBP's in groups of 3. Let me know what you decide.
Agree w/ Dudey, 2 fish are a bad idea, if 30gals is what your going to have for awhile,..1 would be at home in there. If you can get em local and they're cheap,..get a few,..the strongest will be left as your solo,..

He wasnt talking about your RBP. He was saying you've killed a lot of fish according to your signature, so I wouldn't honestly trust much info from you.
He never said your rbp are dead, but you have them in a tank WAY too small for them.
