RBP Recovery Chances

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Your first mistake was having an even number of 4 piranhas' in a 55. Post up pictures if you can.

If you read my signature, I do not have 4 RBP's. I have 3, 4 inch Piranhas. And now it is 2 in a 55G tank. I was planning on trying to help him, but I had to run to class and was going to do it after but when I came back, someone had taken him out and put him in a net. So there wasn't really anything I could do, he was pretty damaged though.

you never want to have an even number of prianhas, it raises aggresivity and having 4 piranhas in a 55 gallon tank is a problem in itself, but always have an odd number of piranhas

My bad, I read wrong. Sorry for your loss.

Dang that stinks, any pics?

I think some people take that odd even number of pygos thing too far. As long as you dont have 2 you should be fine (which now you do assuming he is done for). Keep an eye out for more aggression.

i had one piranha bite a big hole in another piranha (you could see the organs and what not in the piranha) and he made a full recovery

i had 2 rbps together for over a year and never had any problems with aggression the also live with a large pleco and convicts though(the pleco has never been seriously harmed)
