^^ LOL grab yourself a pair of fatshark's and a UHF system. drive through culverts, buildings and forests at 80mph

Lol... im into RC trucks...

Got a fully modified 1/10 Traxxas Stampede 4x4 and a 1/8 HPI Savage...

Havent really lately due to the extreme summer heat and LIPO batteries not being happy with the temps...

Its definitely fun to get into and the power these things have compared to what i was used to 20yrs ago is something else...

From running nimh batteries going 20Kmh back in the days to now running 2 - 6S LIPO at 60-80Kmh+ on grass lol...

Cool I actually had the nitro version of the original HPI Savage myself back before I got out of it, that was a nice running truck I always liked HPI's stuff. I've been trying to read up on Lipo batteries and brushless motors that past few days. I tell ya what it's crazy how much the tech has advanced just since I had gotten out of it. I use to be huge into it and really had tons of knowledge about it back then but things have changed so much just in the past 15 years. The tech is so advanced now I'm finding out almost everything I use to know is so outdated I feel like a newbie again trying to learn all this new stuff.

Here's a fun one for ya: a friend of mine has a traxxas car back in mo, since half the year is snow and ice there, he made "snow tires" by putting screws in the tires, the sharp spikes point outwards and put out A spark show whenever the tires hit concrete and such, back in the day I used to be proud that my r.c car could hit 35 mph, now you can hit over 80 mph and customize a lot easier

Sadly i live in Asia which is why i limited the speed to suit the smaller envrionmental space...

If i got back to Oz, i’ll definitely be throwing in a 1/8 system into the P4DE for much more speed and power...

Yeah, tech has come A LONG WAY since back then... i was in the same boat, had no idea what LIPO was or that people were modding off road RC’s to hit over 130+mph or doing crazy airs over 15-20’ high without the trucks breaking lol...

So definitely was a big eye opener for me too but seriously worth it... just research as much as possible to look for the ultimate basher then try and get a fully modded 2nd hand one for cheap...

Thats how i got a pretty kitted out elecric HPI savage which is a beast as im sure you know...

Oh and the Tamiya Black Foot was one of my first proper RC Trucks back in the day...

LOL man they look like fun

Trust me when i say it is a lot of fun...

Especially once you’ve tuned your truck to the point where its “almost” indestructible, although to be fair fixing it is also half the fun :)

As odd as it sounds that is actually true I gotta agree with ya there on that. I remember back when I would go bashing for a day and something would break like an axle or steering knuckle/arm, it was always enjoyable to put it on the bench and tear it down, rebuild it and get it ready to go bash again :)
