RD liplocking disease question???

Gonna need to setup a hospital tank or isolate the injured fish. To promote quick and effective healing, keep nitrates ultra low, add aquarium salt (1 tablespoon for 5g of water) use melafix if there are open wounds. Also reduce stress, this is where a hosp tank works good, just keep the lights low and the activity around the tank to a minimum. You'll only need to keep the injured fish there a week or less.

Oh ya ignore the first few posts of your thread:)

I quess it is possible that the RD subjects others to some infection quicker then normal..but it is most likely because the wound is so severe that it is becoming infected faster.... i would take the advice of green terror... take the injured fish out... place into maybe 10 or 20 gal tank with original water from the tank they were in... add melafix and salt and let the fish relax..the stress will kill them faster then the injury... those were some awful wounds Nellie... glad the Oscars are all healed again.
