My 125 gallon setup had all natural pebble stones. Was going with the lake look.

My Red Tail Cat ate all my fish and decided lemme start over.

I still have my RTC which im selling in the Buy and Sell section.

I emptied all my gravel. Gave the tank a nice cleaning.

Bout 60lbs of Fine White Sand, and 60lbs of Black Sand and made a nice mix. Gave me a good 2" bed.

Put a solid black background which goes well with the color scheme

I have 2 or 3 nice sized pieces of driftwood in there at the moment.

A couple of pieces of coral.

Now. As soon as i get rid of my RTC...i cant decide what kind of fish i want?

Ive always had Central American cichlids and fish of that nature but think its time for a change

Never had Rays before. They seem appealing. But I hear they are alot of work and can get expensive.

African Cichlids are another cosideration.

Ill even take decorative design.

IDEAS PEOPLE!!

siamese tigers right?

yeh someone else recommended them as well.

anything i should know about how to keep them?

can u mix them with other cichlids? rays etc?

what they eat?

Tack on another vote for the dat. Get yourself 3 juvie D.Pulchers and you'll be sittin pretty for a long time.

are datnoid pulchers the same as datnoid undecimradiatus??

and where can you get pulchers?

If you go African cichlids i'm gonna kick your @$$!! LOL!! Don't waste a good 125gal tank! You kept mostly CA cichlids, so why not try SA cichlids. Much easier to get along with. Since you already have sand in the tank, why not look into Geophagus and Sataneoperca species...aka as Earth Eaters. Great fish, look awesome in groups, not aggressive so you can keep other fish with them. If you really are wantin to get away from cichlids, then dats are a great choice. I would take out the coral though, just kinda makes the FW tank look a bit odd..unless you want to bring your pH up a bit. You could try lungfish, knifefish, or wolffish as well.

here's a thought everyone always thinks big tank big fish. why not consider a big tank hundreds of smaller fish setup?? like an amazon biotope or something to that affect. or an asian theme with gouramis and loaches. just a thought!!
