Re-doing my 125 freshwater. Ideas?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Look into zoo's....the Omaha Henry Doorly zoo here in Nebraska has a HUGE exhibit that has tons of RTC cats and aramapia in it....awesome! I'm sure they could take another one! :D

One large black aro, a couple of red hooks, a couple of bristlenose cats, and a hundred or so tiny tetras. I have seen vids of little tetras shoeling around aros in the wild like pilot fish with sharks, cool.

siamese tigers right?

yeh someone else recommended them as well.

anything i should know about how to keep them?

can u mix them with other cichlids? rays etc?

what they eat?

Dats are not cichlids.. I wasn't sure if your sentence.. can you mix them with other cichlids meant can you mix them with other cichlids. Or meaning can you keep them with other cichilds as in they are one. They are ambush predators. Mine feed very well on raw shrimp and frozen krill. Some people get them on pellets. I have a pike cichlid in with mine in a 150 now and they all get along. The dats are considerably bigger. I don't know how it would work if it was vice versa. Many people keep them with rays. The only thing the Rays would definately outgrow the 125 even though they grow slow and so would the Dats if your lucky.. Mine are about 6 and 8 inches and have grown about an inch in the last two months with heavy feeding.. Hope this helped.. I would probably get all small: 3-5 dats.. a few bichirs.. and maybe if you like rays start with a small motoro..
