For number 5, no, you don't need a huge tank. A 55 will work, but a 90 would be perfect for an oscar, no problem. You don't need a huge tank like he was saying
You had me until this....How is a 16 inch Oscar going to be fine in this tank? The depth is only 12 inches. Maybe you have never seen them that big but I've seen plenty.

He has a point about tank size if you want to keep them properly. A leopard Ctenopoma usually gets to about 5 inches long, would it be ok to keep that in a 10 gallon? Most people would say no, but an oscar has the same amount of swimming space in a 120 gallon. To suggest they can live in a 55 gallon isnt much different than saying they could live in a 33 long, as height is not that important to most fish.

Every time I hear Oscar and "55" I roll my eyes. The same folks that think their 9-10 inch O is "huge" because comparitively speaking it looks big in that smaller tank.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with oscars. It's the owners who don't look after them that's the problem, and there are a lot of them out there.

This guy shouldn't be telling us why we can't keep oscars, he should have made his video about the joys of keeping this fish if looked after properly, and then maybe give some quality information on HOW to look after them.

I can tell a lot by a guys face and that guy looks a p***k anyway!:irked:

So i couldnt get through the whole video, it was just too painful...

However, from what i did see, it seems this guy wants to do the least amount of maintenance and planning as possible, while doing things on a whim...

When he talked about decorating his tanks and said “do i have to plan my tanks before i add water” spoke volumes to me...

Then the feeding part i was like okay im done... since he obviously doesnt really know what the hell he actually wants from his fish, or maybe he likes the look of oscars but doesnt really like their personality which is why he also stated that he’ll buy them then regret the purchase knowing full well what hes getting into...
