re-scaped 7ft tank, with goldfish =D

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey Man...that's a nice tank! I don't care what some people say...Goldfish are cool!

the setup is realli koo. since my mom likes goldfish, i'm thinking ur tank can be a great reference when i'm doing a room divider tank for her. i wonder how much difference would the black back ground make in effect of the whole set up. i personally love the black back, but to be a room divider tank, of course i can't do that.

goldfish FTW! In 6 months take some update pics they should have grown ALOT by then!

An arowana wouldnt fit anyway. Why didnt you just throw a bunch of large gourami's in with colourful tetras and clown loaches along with some other misc items? More pleasing and colourful then a bunch of expensive feeders.

Expensive feeders?! Go to China and see how people react to that :screwy:

There is a reason why there is such a strong cultural tie to goldfish and they were the first fish to be domesticated. There are goldfish people out there that are just as obsessed (if not more) than the MFK'ers here.

Goldfish are gentle giants... I don't need a tank with a wild-caught carnivore to flex my muscles, I have many tanks with beautiful goldfish that have been bred for aesthetics and are the products of hundreds if not thousands of years of domestication.

Okay, I just bought a $150 'feeder' recently, so that is why I have to defend this awesome tank and poke at you MFK'ers! I love the look of it, and hope the fish don't start picking at the plants :)

I'd like to see updates in the future too... they will get huge and be very happy in that tank, good stocking on your part! Nice panda moor too...

That is absolutely gorgeous! I love goldfish, and I still want to do a big goldfish tank someday. My favorite tank of all time is this one by Jeff Senske at Aquarium Design Group. Hope he doesn't mind me posting his pictures here.

You can see the original along with all the other awesome tanks here:

Again, all rights to this photo are aquarium design group. BTW> It's a 225 gallon tank. Not wasted IMO.
