hi I just got a reactor and was planning to make it into a nitrate reactor with Seachem Denitrate can I mix other stuff in there?

Any media can be used for denitrification as long as it creates anoxic zones. At work we use plastic beads that look like pinwheel-shaped pasta.
agree, pothos r great. Had some myself, but its not going to b a replacement for good old water changes
I'm doing water change every week and seems like afyer water change the nitrate the same ppm. Which is 20 or 40 ppm since they look the same

ya I was looking at that too but I don't have room inside the tank and don't have a sump or wet/dry system. can only use reactor since its not big and wont take much space, I can channel the water and etc to other reactor (in future). is there any way to see bacteria growing on the seachem denitrate?
If it really takes off you will need some kind of a micron filter to keep it out of your tank. White slimy slippery stuff.
Sounds like a sulfur denigrate might work in your situation, sump less and all.
The above picture has two canisters full of denitrate, pumice rock, It just needs a tsp of sugar every day to actually remove a noticeable amount of nitrate.
I have a denitrate test tank on my porch, 30 gallons with 1 cuft of pumice denirate, minnow live well. Last I checked it was at 40ppm nitrate. With a solar powered algae grown food supply is all it gets.
Theirs also the floating algae scrubber.
