i got home from my philosophy class at like 10:30am, my class is at 9:30am(the tank was fine no leaking then), finished my midterm early came home and got here at 10:30 to find have of my tank gone and on the carpet, the reason most of the inhabitants were fine was because none of them is bigger than 6inches(biggest is a peacock eel) i wanted this to be a good home for my tiretrack eel(which gets 3feet), but when i siphoned the remaining water i was in such a panic not to realize that the hose was big and my tiretrack(4inches) either got sucked up or swam up and out into the grass he went, because i didnt have another tank already up and ready i had to rush go get my empty 30gallon from the garage fill that up and hope for the best, everything is doing fine now and by everything my stocklist is (senegal bichir(5inch), peackock eel(6inch), sailfin pleco(4inch), few snails, tiger cray(4inch), they are all young little critters and deserved the bigger home i had for them but now it will be a little time before i for sure fix the leak, which by the way was huge i have a flatback hexagon aquarium and the left side of it where it curves the entire left side burst open the sealant haha it was kind of insane, i had to lift this thing with sand still in it outside and when it was outside the leaking area was probably 12inch long and wide enough sand was spilling out to, sorry this was long, but the question that remains is should i just get a new tank or is this leak fixable with cement glue and silicone?

Too late now, but for future reference, run an empty "Rug Doctor" rug shampoo machine over it slowly. It'll get things dry enough that they most often won't mold.

Wow I thought it was a hassle when my 29g tall started leaking! I don't know how I would react to such a disaster, but at least you got a slightly humorous essay out of it
