hey on the glass thickness. The height of my glass was 27" and once set in the viewing size is 24 3/4" i went with the 1/2 inch glass and its going just fine. What are you planning on sealing it with?

I'm torn on whether the Glass Guy is looking to make the extra $$ off me or if he's right. I'm looking at rougly 2" taller than you when I'm done. I really think that'll be fine but I don't want a 2" deep pond when I get home from work one day either.

Planning on using West Systems Epoxy to seal the tank. I can get it locally and I know that it plays nice with silicone. I was considering Pond Armor but it's coming out of California and I've had trouble waiting on things to make it across the border on more than one occasion.

Here's tonights work :

And heres a quick sketch of the stand I'm building tomorrow... well the structure anyhow

Is the front frame a single piece w/cutout or 4 pieces?

It's 4 pieces. They are glued(outdoor woodglue) and then screwed every 2". in addition there is a 2x4 plate on the top and euro bracing will be employed.

I've finished some additional work but I'm at the office at the moment and can't get photo's online. The tank and stand are complete so far as ready for glass and Pond Armor. I built an 80g sump last night out of the scrap pieces too.

very cool looking forward to pics:popcorn:

What the above is supposed to say.

"I lied... a friend had a plumbing issue I helped him out. BTW this text is printing backwards on me here."
