I've been around awhile and have bounced all over the spectrum of the hobby from marine to Africans to flowerhorns. After 15 years in the hobby, I have decided to go with discus in my 120g. The tank has been up for many years with little or no problems over the recent years. The current residents are 3 6" CL's, a breeding pair of plecos, a blue mountain loach pair, and a small group of cory's. I'm selling the main flowerhorn pair now on the buy/sell section.

Can you guys please suggest some members on here, websites, and or online dealers.

Discus hans
+1, I've heard countless good reviews about him
Discus like prestine water conditions. R.O. water is great for discus. I've had succes keeping them in regular tap water but they do best in R.O.
They also like high temps, low p.h., and lots of protein.

I shouldn't have a problem with the parameters other than the RO. I sold my RO equipment when jumped out of the marine side.

What kind of plecos do you have? Most plecos will attach to the discus and suck on the slime. That could lead to death or at least visible damage. I've kept a bristlenose pleco with no problems. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, they are BN's. Though I didn't know about that weird behavior.

I did a lot of research before I bought my bn pleco. I read a lot of stories that had a bad ending when people mixed the two species. I think the most important thing is to keep them well fed so they don't attach to the discus

I hope not. Ive had this breeding pair for 5 years. They've never been nasty, but who's to say they may not with the new additions.

do you like wild discus or domestic? look around or google it to have an idea what you'll like or check out simplydiscus . don't rush into it.
