Reading on the electronic devices doesn't even come close to the good feeling of reading a real book for me. It feels like Im doing work, at work, because I have to. I spend enough time on my laptop as it is, a real book blows the other away for me.

I would make this a vote thread but I hate those poll things, I just want to know how many of you are falling into this electronic trap.

Real or electronic? Spit it out.

Only time I read is for academic purposes, which normally resides in a digital format since the content I isn't available in print. And, when it is, its too far dated to be helpful.

I love Kindle. We were on the road all day yesterday. I downloaded several free kindle books and was thoroughly entertained. I only stopped reading when I had to check driving directions, or check my email, or browse fish forums. I am, however, considering buying a book at the airport this morning, as the battery life on my Droid Incredible is less than the length of my flight. Too bad I never thought of getting a spare battery. I love free Kindle books.

I agree,I've always been an avid book reader and don't see myself getting a kindle or some other gadget anytime soon.

I dont read books :)

Kindle is not bad, I don't have one but my GF does and loves it. I read a little on it but didnt get the same feel as i do from holding a book and tuning the pages. That said, I did read all of Midnight Sun, that S Meyers had available on her website , on my desktop computer at my office. Plus I collect Books.

I have a Nook and although it took me a while to ween myself of print, I find that I love my digital books now. Want a book at 3am just go and download it. Just finish reading a book one of your friends MUST read aswell just send it to thier device. Its convenient and easy and I read more now than ever. No more trips to the store, no more waiting for shipments, no more shelves upon shelves filled with book. (OK i kinda miss that last part.)

Again, maybe for someone like me who deals with electronics all day, all I want is a real book to get away from it all. Ordering and waiting for it and all that is part of the fun of it, online books is just like reading internet news to me, everything is the same, if we lose power for a long time or the world crashes and we end up like mad max, I will start taking library card apps from you guys now, I wont charge too much:D

The Kendall or whatever are ok, just not for me all the time. Maybe for school stuff or something. When I read something like a big classic, I want it on my shelf.
