how do you guys find these animal bones?! all i can find around here in florida is opossum legs and maybe a seagull beak or whatever.

No way! When I was doing collection in west and northwest and central florida area, found alot of different parts, alot of dead sailfin plecos and their skeletons

saw few dead animals- dried out turtles some snappers. the biggest one was the dried out gator about 5 feet long, it was during the drought near lake O at that time, near a canal I forgot the specifics creeped the hell out of me just because it just reminded me of death and circle of life at that time and I was alone

and I think I saw a dog skeleton, it couldn't have been a coyote as it was too big to be one near the top part of the lake O i forgot what the nature park was called near the bridge reservior just plainly forgot what it was called- was polluted it was intact nothing seemed to take a bite out of it when it was laying dead

btw its a kickass deer skull

perhaps I should do the same thing next time I see a dead skull laying around when I do my hikes though if its not cool looking like the beaver one I saw a while back then I'm leaving it alone for the squrriels/rodents to chew on

I kept a deer rack for years without any issues. In fact my plecos constantly
were grazing on them.
I also use turtle shells that I find while walking in woods or fields, they work great for small caves especially for smaller plecs like Hypans and the like.

Mine loved to eat the leftover flesh off the skull. My Syno. Petricola made a home out of its nasal cavity.

I got up at 5 AM and sat in the woods until daylight, when it walked out I shot it then went to look for it and found it where I shot it :)
