i want to know which one is better for a thank that will house plecos and i want the one that will be least expensive

Fake plants are like fake boobs. They are all good and stuff but some nice real ones are always better. Also, I have two plecos with two java ferns and it works great.

I agree! The benefit to live plants are the looks and added filtration. Low-light, hardy plants will probably be your best bet.

Java ferns are super easy. I don't do anything to them and they are hanging in ok.

I don't know if these are low-light, but some hardy plants are Java Fern and Amazon Swords.

These have to be tied to wood or rock, though, but they have the advantage of being able to survive in tanks with fish that would easily rip apart more delicate plants.

is it ok if i have a sandy bottom in my tank oh and do java fern need to be tied down to anything or no

yes sand is good, java ferns are not planted and do not need to be anchored as they will grow just floating along the bottom. Other low light plants are anubias, water sprite and water wisteria.

Fake plants = lame IMO. If I could not have real plants I would just do a nice rock/wood scape instead of faking it. The worst is clown puke and plastic plants. I have 4 plecs in this tank:
