really cloudy tank, plz help its getting me down

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Everything is the problem here...Food, sunlight, substrate, WC schedule...ETC...From everything we said, removing the sand should not have been very high on the list IMPO...Leave the tank alone for a week...cover it and do not even look at it...After that, if it still looks bad, feed the fish, a small amount, and cover for another week....Good luck....

Maybe a squeeze into the canister might help. But even into the water will work. It is all going to pass through the filter anyway.
And don't just do a squeeze. Rinse that sucker clean in the new tank water. And drop the whole thing in and leave it until the canister cycles.
Or stick it in your intake so the cycled filter will clean the water now, and jump start the canister.
Then stop messing with it.

Looks pretty good right now.
But if I were you...I'd def think about adding some sand.

i can haz lights prz?

well just expect to have to go through your cycle again, and the cloudy water may return the best thing to do right now is not to do any water changes until your water has FULLY established it self. Again you are basically starting almost from scratch but by adding the media material to your tank it should help speed things up.

Why is that big cannister NOT connected? And look at the Oscar gasping at the surface for air....:(

the cnnister is connected and the oscar was chewing bits of floating plant.
the tabes on the cannister are clear so maybe that why you cant see them. but if you look at the black wires you can see where the hoses pass them

I see the tubes now that you say that...Also, I assumed that was what the Oscar was doing...I was incorrect on both accounts...:)
