Really cool or desirable Fish that you're not really into

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not into Saltwater or Brackish Fish. Not into gold fish or bettas. Not into Ghost Knives or Lung Fish. Not into Pacu's or Ps.

Not really into Dat's but might be kinda cool to keep a 5-6 at a small size for a while, since my understanding is they grow slow. Just to try it out for a while.

The only fish I've owned that I truly disliked was my goliath tiger fish. Simply because of how skittish he was after months of owning him. This has now changed and he has become quite calm and actually almost begs for food when I come near the tank with shrimp.

For all the dat haters. I have owned a good amount of rare or exotics; from Armatus to Black rays and the only fish I would never sell are my two widebar dats. They have the most personality and are by far the most owner responsive fish that I own. Any of you who said you didn't care for them probably either own small ones 10" or less or haven't owned them. I have a few small dats who are quite reclusive but given time and a proper comfort level I think it is tough to find a fish that would like to interact as much with their owner.

i dont understand the dislike of afro cichlids, i love those mean suckers
but i dont like
any fish over $50, i mean come on people, its a effing fish but no offense ;) (its probably cause i can't afford them)
any schooling fish that just swim in circles
those huge-arse fish that you can't really possibly house comfortably
bichirs, ropes, lungs
mutated, retarded, broken fish, that cant really even halfway function properly

i feel like cichlids are just too stereotypical fish looking, ya know? I want something more unique, something that people outside of the hobby are gonna look at and be like, "wow whats that?? it's beautiful!/hideouse!/huge!/terrifying!"

Pirahana, Dats and Pacu. They just don't do it for me.
