I'm the other one with the low ph.. I decided to add a bit of corel at a time to raise the ph a bit at a time. I don't want to shock my fish your only supose to raise it 0.2 a day. good luck to you too. It's very frusterating. I have soft water here too but I do have a higher ph comming out of the tap.

After putting a very small bag of crushed coral (about a big handful) and a few little chunks or a coral type rock in my XP4, I checked the ph on the 90 gallon and it has gone up to 7! I will see if it stays there after I do a water change today.

i read that bettas like the low ph levels so if you ever wanted to start breeding them you got a good start ad it said that breeders in tiwan or something has theres inbetween 4 and 5 on the ph
