Yesterday I realized I might have to put down one of my pictus catfish. Hopefully something like that won't happen to you.

Sorry to hear that. Naw this guy is in pretty good shape as far as I can see.
Well as all good things must come to an end on this site…
the pretty kitty has a new home now.
a friend made me an offer I can’t refuse and now it is graduated to his 700g to continue into its next part of life. So in a way, a happier ending than one could expect but still kind of bittersweet.
final size was about 18” when I put the tape next to it in the pond. So seems as if it grew roughly 4” in the short time I had it.

Lol ya it went through and did it’s “taste test” to see if anything was worth trying.
the only fish of concern in that tank are his temensis bass which we decided we’re bite sized.
the aro is well over 14” bigger than the rtc. The smallest aro in the tank is his 24” gold and that thing is absolutely thick.
he is a very experienced keeper and has more than this tank so I’m not too concerned about that so much.
I didn’t really want to get rid of the prtc. But it seemed to be a kind of deal that worked out for him and also for me.
