Really want a carnivorous fish.

I'm telling you right now to go to the nearest pond/lake and catch you a small largemouth bass. Those things can EAT and they are extremely entertaining to watch eat. Drop like 3-5 minnows in there and watch him dart around stuffing his face. They're very hearty too, so you don't have too much to worry about when it comes to maintenance.

it's a 20 gallon tank, a largemouth bass is a horrible suggestion. way too big and active for a tank that size obviously. Some south american leaf fish are really cool unique predators for a tank that size
