I call them how i see them, you can not say there isnt something odd with this fish.

I meant your attitude, not your ID skills. All fish species are variable, and I see nothing about that fish that says it is not a green sunfish.

Heres some in pond shots- they might not help- but at least I get to show my pond

The sunfish pondmates are a 24" jardini, 3x 12" albino oscars, 18" clown knife, 6" jack dempsey, 16" 14" channel cats,9" albino channel cat, and albino, chocolate, orangespot, and some other odd pleco from 6"to 10"- now I have to finish the landscaping around it

I never said it wasnt a green, just said maybe it has somthing else in it. If the new pics he just posted the bottom one looks to be the fish of question, It does look like a full green but theres always the posiblity of there being some bluegill in it. We will never know.

Nice pond! Perfect home for your greens...I can't imagine a more ideal place for them.

What's with the lip on that one everyone's arguing about? He looks like he's pouting about something...I think that's probably him in the bottom pic. I laughed when I saw it...too awesome.

I think that I could make it more ideal would be to pull the jardini- he decided that he likes to live alone- so hes going ape-ship on everybody else in his pond-
Maybe ill luck out and the jar will bite off the sunnys bump!

Thanks mang- I also have an 18" ripsaw cat that I was throwing in there but those side scutes are too sharp on those beasts
